Azlan First visit to Skardu:

After long time, in this summer, to make summer vacation at Skardu, Azlan land at Skardu Airport on June 11, 2011. He was very excited going there. While traveling an amazing flight of Boing from Islamabad to Skardu he never sits on seat and tide his seat belt. Moving and chating with Air - Hostess and asking something for eating or drinks continues all the way. Now being at Skardu he is totally refused to come back. He is enjoying all the stuff like Laptop and company with pleasant weather at Skardu. It is really amazing and enjoyable summer camp for him.

Why I haven't been able to post?

Sorry, actually there were lot of activities going around me. It has become so difficult to manage all these in one go. One has to concentrate of different issues very carefully. I was also busy in TOFEL through USEFP. It was very encouraging that this Foundation doing excellent job in providing professionally education and awareness. It was part my job.

In the Azlan activities, there were as usual we always try to participate as site seeing or visiting different functions is very helpful in building children and educating them. Beside other Annual Flower Show in Rose and Jasmine Garden plus a beautiful Birds Show makes the environment so friendly and beautiful. A lot of people from all walk of life were there. It was really very healthy activity. Sindhi Khusa was big attraction there.

Soon after departure of Chinese Primer successful visit of Pakistan, we went to Pak-China Friendship Centre. It is beautiful symbol of long lasting Pak-China friendship near Jasmine Garden, Islamabad. People who often feel something entertaining can go and enjoy simply visiting this beautiful centre where various events will take place in the future.

Games and Learning go by:

Yes, it is quite late but activities are on and Muhammad Azlan is going well, learning new things in School. But it takes sometime due to having different languages Urdu, punjabi balti and of course English. It is not a worrisome situation, the most important thing he is intelligent and get through each and everything at home and school. He observes things closely but fascinated by games especially cars games or super-mario and spend most of time playing these games.

New School New Place:

Sorry, I could make my posting earlier due certain reasons. However, during this period a new school leading to O level has been searched after hectic efforts (on August 16, 2010). One cannot think of how education is costly in Pakistan. One can simply send children in other schools but their standard of teaching are not upto the mark. Moon is extremely excited to have one new school where pictures of his favorite cartoon characters are all along with. Method of teaching is remarkable and kids love to learn in initial stage. They don't feel any kind of burden or boring. He is equally enthusiastic from very first day of schooling here.

Activities in the month of July, 10

July was humid at initial stage when we went to Rawal Dam and later Rawal Lakie this summer there was scorching heat. The dam was almost getting dried, as is evident from the pic. Later we had an opportunity of attending wedding at Community centre, Islamabad which was absolutely marvelous with big lunch. Moon was very much involved and did spare no time to enjoy it. Way of eating by the people at wedding is unique and no one from a civilized society can imagine of it. Poor people are dying for food everywhere but at wedding people wasting more than what they eat. It is shame and one has to think of it.

This summer we are experiencing a very pleasant weather in Islamabad with cloudy and rainy before start of monsoon. Azlan is very much excited about Shakarparian. But after the construction of Pakistan Monument here it attracts more visitors. Therefore, we first went to National Monument. National Monument has recently been opened for the public after its construction. It give beautiful scenic view both from Rawalpindi to Islamabad. It has four main petals like a flower in a vase which represent our four Provinces and three small petals for Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir and FATA. Here Azlan enjoyed and have lot of fun. He asked different question like what is that and why...etc. We tell him what he wanted to know and hopefully he gets some good knowledge besides fun.

Crazy for Traveling:

Like every child, Azlan is also very excited and found of traveling and never spare any time to go to different local places. He knows all the routes leading to parks, zoo, playland or even to various ministries in the Secretariat.

Shifting:

Sorry, it is little bit late posting,as we were busy in shifting home. It is very difficult to manage as far as rent of a house is concerned. There is no any procedure or property law exist or may be implementation here. If you go Rawal Town, which is still "Gawala Colony" but rate of these areas are like F-7 or F-8 Markaz, even one cannot imagine and compare the rates of Shahzad Town which is not enough deloveloped as yet. Rent of a house is not less than residing a person in posh area. Basically it is "Jis K lathi Us K Bahans" who will controll all this? Anyhow, it goes out of contents.
Azlan was disturb in new house saying it is not good, lets go back to previous one. We people never forget if we live any place. Azlan is kid and his feelings are rather strong. He live, played in the street with his age groupd. There are some good and his fast friends like Zahid Ali, Maham, Unas etc. I don;t miss that house but seeing Azlan it pinch me a lot. I am praying God may help every one especially us and give us our own house so that kids never feel like that.

Always on move:

Habits play very imporant role in making kids behaviour. It is imperative to introduce all the field i.e. playing, recreational, educational, learning etc. If we go on and stick to one this make the kid a habit and he never turned. Special care are needed to educate them while moving or a trip to recreational places. This will increase kids knolwedge and also how he observes things.

Picnic at Lake View - Sunday

Happy Birthday is still on like Chritsmass which is celeberated with new uears many days. This picnic is also arranged for Azlan at Lake View Park, a beautiful picnic/recreational spot located Murree Road, Islamabad. We wen there. As it has very easy approach, therefore, there are huge public/visitor enjoying beautiful scenic view of Rawal Dam and park. Meanwhile there are lot expension work is being done adding different facilities for the people. We did lunch there and than move for enjoying others things like riding, boating, swing and had a lot of photography.

No, there is no one but 2-3 birthday for Moon. Beacuse mother is not here with me. So mother, sister, brother in law, Sultan all were present on the second day of birth and cut the cake like first day. We enjoyed birthday second day also.

We, Azlan and Neha have a round from Super Market to Jinnah Super and then to Commercial Market. Rates both super and Jinnah Super Market were out of reach. While we were searching here and there demands of moon were increasing by the time. New clothings, Laptop computer so and so. But the most disturbing thing we facing searching laptop computer and even we could not succeded to get that. It was left for the time being. However, it is being reminded by Moon off and on.

At Lok Virsa Wakhi Cultural Festival:

We never miss such type of cultural festival. Azlan is always part of this activity. It is process of learning and he gets a lot of knowldge and confidence through this learning. It increased observations of child. At Wakhi festival kids were dancing with the sweet melody of Hunza. They were hardly 3-5 of age. Yes, it is very difficult to guess whether he is Azlan (Moon) or his sister Neha Batool. Even my friends cannot recognize both of them if they see Neha's pics of six months which was handing in our room.

Azlan always is very exciting and never miss any opportunity of making a friend. Class room, park, shopping or even whenever we go to meet someone who is not relative to us. It is hard to stop him from doing so

Moon is very excited to see this type of vehicle specially this Road cutter machine which is big. He always called it in urdu "Khatarnak". Sometimes back he is afraid of it and hesitate even to touch it. Now he realize and gets some sense. Yesterday, we went outing and had some photographs with it.

I am very sorry for inordinate delay in posting. Actually there were some huge assignment to be completed. It was due to new job. New place is always new and it takes sometime to settle. Therefore, I neglected this blog, though there were some interested happening during this period. Eidul Fitr has passed and now next eid is coming. Insha Allah all this will be in next posting. How much time at Computer:

Azlan (Moon) spent most of his time at computer playing different games. Now getting some habit for reading himself and go to school as usual without having any trouble for the parents. It is very encouraging and dream for a parent that their children make it a habit and get up early in the morning.

Start of Schooling:

I would like to begin this post with my hearty Ramadan Mubarik, though it is today 17th Ramadan. I could not make my posting due to the reason.
Now come to the point; well, first day is always very important and remembered for ever. Moon starts schooling from Play group in Genius Public School, Rawal Town. It was a big day for him and equally for parents. Parents do every single thing on earth within their limited ability to allow their child to achieve the most in life. Sending moon to a small neighboring school is a test and make him used to. After 2-3 month definitely he will be able to go to an A-class English medium school leading to A & O level. Right now, it is amazing he does not cry like other kids while going to school. He was very excited and had made a lot of friends there. We are happy he picked very well and now changing his routine according to new schedule. He wake up early, takes his lunch, learn some new things.

Moon at Lok Virsa

Moon never sits idle, keeps moving, doing or breaking something every where anywhere. So we had a visit to Lok Virsa which is an attractive place for tourists. There are different activities on special occasion. All these moves around children who always are excited to be there. Of course, besides other, Moon makes the August 14, more colourful and enjoyable for us.

Moon at Lake View Park::

For the last two weeks Moon is without a big activity to some recreational place. Actually things have been busy around here due to my appointment in the field of education. So this Sunday, it was planned to have some good time at Lake View Park, some 15 minutes drive away city and situated at road leading to Murree. Moon as usual was excited especially in presence of his elder sister Neha Batool. We packed up early in the morning and jumped in our conveyance and headed upto Lake View. Weather was pleasant due to overnight monsoon rain. On Sunday people woke up late, but today there are influx of general public enjoying view of Rawal Lake and cloudy weather. Moon was out of control there and demanding each and every thing. We had our lunch there. At lake side there was boating, fishing and some birds. But the worst thing which I must deplore is water pollution. There was plastic bottles, shows and other garbage inside the lake which gives very bad look. It is matter of concern that Islamabad Capital Territory made huge investment on this Park and left the water pollution at large which hazardous for Birds of Islamabad specially for environmental point of view. We enjoying at Lake view but at the same time it compels me to have some words about the menace of this ever increasing pollution at the Lake.

Neha joins his brother Moon again:

Well! Neha has come. Moon went to Airport with his dad. Airport is a different place but here in Pakistan Internatinal Airport, now "Benazir Bhutto International Airport". Here general public or visitors who come see off their dear ones are only allowed after paying Rs.20/- as entrance fee. Logic behind this its aim to discourage number of people from visiting Airport. Anyhow, Moon were excited with other children who also come with their parents. Skardu flight timings shown as 1220 hrs here in Islamabad while actually flight takes off from Skardu was 1220 hrs. At 1220, the ticker changed new timing of arrival of Boeing 737 aircraft was 1310 hrs. Moon takes some juices etc. Now he is feels happy and satisfied.

We left for home and gets a taxi and paid Rs.150/- to him. It is rates outside airport. If takes a taxi inside airport you will have to pay Rs.250/- plus. It is unique thing. There is no system to control fare of taxi they look passengers, catch them and demand so on.

Moon - our worries

Where does time go? Just flying and it is now second week since my last posting. During these days, Moon has become more fussy and crying. Logically, is missing Neha who is due this week but there is Skardu Weather and one cannot predict when to come. In PIA flight there is not all weather system for such amazing tourist destination. However, moon dad is making him happy and make it routing to download some kids games U Tube for his education and fun. Two days Moon spent at her Grandma where he had a lot playing and fun with unknown faces who came to attend his Aunt marriage on 25 & 26 instant. There were little interest in study however, it was only temporary as he has go to school next month before formal enrolment in some good English medium school. But sitll we are worried about his not taking sleep during the day.

Moon celeberate his fourth birthday (this year) twice first in his own house with lots of friends at Rawal Town and second day it was with is grandma and Khala in their house located in Tramari, Islamabad. He enjoyed these moments and talking about a few days later.

In Islamabad, it is very hot weather. Though people including Moon gets some relief due to overnight cloudy weather and later first rains of this seasion. However, we suspended outing due to scorching heat. Moon did play in the rain and enjoyed with his friends in the near park.

Today when I am posting this, Moon is besides me. He know what is all about this Blog. I am on leave from my office for taking extra care due to absence of Neha (his elder sister). She is presently enjoying his summer vacation in Skardu Baltistan, a beautiful valley near K-2 second highest peak He is very sensitive and take things seriously. Today when I was talking to Neha about her health, he catch my words that Neah is getting flu due to cold there. After listening this, he passes this info to everyone.
Well, today, when my husband sparing sometimes from his activities, planned to go his mother. It was an opportunity for Moon. So a trip to his Grandma (Dadi called in Urdu) house Sharifabad Tarlia - Islamabad which is located some 15-16 Kms was recreational and success for him. He had a great deal of fun and gets a chance to see his Uncle (Kousar Mahmood) and spend time in playing games etc with his son Sultan (7 years old). He was fresh there but due to far away he was little tired. I am so happy that he is growing.

Moon Likes and dislikes:

Moon is Mash Allah turning 4½ years this month. He is growing so fast and understands sharply. I am apparently happy that he is learning some new things, new words. But am just sad he is ignorant in his study as compare to how much involves in games or computer. He never miss any episode of Mr. Bean, or he his second favorite Disney Cars. More over in our home Commander safeguard is also very much respected.

Though he is set to formally joining School in August, 2009 but his habit of not taking daily nap (specially in these summer days) is also very irritating me. Moon is very found of making friend. Whenever, he sees some new face of his age, he is ready to go with or demand to bring the kid and play games or watching TV at home.

Chattar Park, Near Murree

We often go to diferent recreational places around us. Latest where we went was Chattar Park, near Murree, a beautiful place for fun. Moon is very excited about these places and always loves to see. It is tough to convince him to go back to home from such places.

In the name of Allah: I was thinking to start of blog about Muhammad Azlan( mostly called moon and munno) but in this we call "Moon", my kid soon after his birth on January 9, 2005 (Sunday) but to so many hussle in the life this could not materialized. Now he is now, Mashallah above 4. He knows computers and spend his most of time by watching Cartoon NetWork or Disney. Computer is other tool for his recreational activities. He is also familiar with internet. His Baba (dad) is already active in the field of computer and net and an informative website His day to day activities and pics will be available here. Some of his early pics will also be avialable. It is very hot in Islamabad in July, and moon is sad and also missing his elder sister Neha Batool who is presently on summer vacation at Skardu (Baltistan) Northern Areas.
